The evolution of dance music continues with another smash collaboration!  Ferry Corsten and Armin van Buuren team up for “Brute” from Armin’s just released “Universal Religion Vol. 5.”  Forceful and energetic, “Brute,” is already speeding up the charts.

Not to be outdone, most of the DJ Charts consist of tracks that feature several artists on one song.  This has been a common practice with hip-hop since the 90’s when most hit singles featured several artists to guarantee a #1 smash.  The dance world now regularly uses this great marketing scheme that solidified its strength in David Guetta and Akon’s Top 5 smash “Sexy Bitch.”

Extreme examples of artist collaboration on a track is the recently released “In the Air” by four artists: Morgan Page, Sultan & Ned Shepard and BT.  To be honest, “In the Air” is marginal even with all the talent involved.  A much better example of collaboration is “Pressure” by Nadia Ali, Starkillers & Alex Kenji.  It’s a slow burner, but now is getting much love around the world, especially with the Alesso mix.

Collaborations make up more than HALF of the Dutch Hit 30 Dance Chart from Slam FM.  It may be true…the more the better!

What Happens in VegasLas Vegas now has their own electro-house anthem - “What Happens in Vegas”!

Dutch DJ’s DJ Chuckie and Gregor Salto collaborated on an instant smash that is igniting all around the world’s dance floors. Although the phrase “What Happens In Vegas” may be passe - their efforts make it fresh all over again.

DJ Chuckie is best known for his remix of LMFAO’s “I’m In Miami Bit@h” renamed “Let the Bass Kick in Miami Bit@h” as well as the creation of his “Dirty Dutch” concerts that now attract 30,000+ attendees!  He is definitely a leader in Urban-influenced house and sure to catch fire in the U.S. with this track.  A recent interview with Chuckie is here.

Gregor Salto with Dr. Kucho achieved great success in 2005 with the sensual and catchy house track “Can’t Stop Playing”.  Salto continues to work on production and remixes in multiple genres, including raggae, samba and more.

“What Happens in Vegas” is currently available exclusively on Beatport.com and will be arriving on I-Tunes in the coming weeks.
